Introducing Rainy Winter: A Delightful Single-Line Font

After three and a half years of mastering the art of creating single-line fonts, I’m thrilled to introduce Rainy Winter, a fun and cute handwritten font designed from scratch. This font is perfect for a variety of projects and comes with an impressive set of features.

What Makes Rainy Winter Special?

Rainy Winter is a single-line font that isn’t based on an existing solid font. However, its flexibility allows you to add a stroke in vector design programs like Illustrator, Inkscape, or Affinity Designer and expand it to create a great solid version.

Extensive Character Set

Rainy Winter boasts an extensive character set, including:

• The basics: A-Z, a-z, numbers, punctuation
• Extra punctuation, including 18 fractions
• 350 extended Latin characters for extensive language support
• 100 uppercase and lowercase Greek characters
• 200 uppercase and lowercase Cyrillic characters
• 40 double-letter ligatures for a handwritten look
• Alternates for a/g, allowing you to choose between single- and double-storey

Font Variations: Rainy Winter One and Two

Rainy Winter comes in two formats:

Rainy Winter One: True Single-Line Font

This version is made from a single stroke from beginning to end, making it suitable for CNC/specialty programs like Rhinoceros. If you’re proficient in vector design programs, you can use this version and remove the connection between the start and end points of the strokes.

Rainy Winter Two: Hairline Font

This outline font has strokes that are virtually invisible, making it perfect for use in most crafting and design programs, such as Silhouette Studio, Cricut Design Space, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Inkscape, and Affinity Designer.

Important Note

Single-line and hairline fonts are designed for use with a sketch pen, foil quill, engraving tool, infusible ink pen, Glowforge scoring, or any other stylus or nib that draws letters with a single line instead of an outline. They are not suitable for word processing, printing, or cutting.

Compatibility

Due to known issues with Brother Canvas Workspace, I cannot guarantee that any single-line fonts will work in that program.
